In Global options, Folders, My template files, I've pointed to my templates (4 of them), however, looking at the Logbook, I see that the default templates are being loaded as well as my templates.
Is this right, as the result is that under "Publish" I see duplicates of the 4 templates that I've defined.
Can anyone please explain why sailwave V2.8.5 is loading both the default templates as well as my user defined templates?

Sailwave loads its standard(Default templates) plus any that you specify in your custom directory. The concept is that the ones in your custom directory will have different names than the standard templates, so there won’t be any duplicates. As far as I can remember its always been this way although as the default location is under Program Files it was probably easier in XP days to put your custom ones in the default location or even replace the default one. If you are running under XP you can still do this but I wouldn’t advise it if you using Vista, Windows 7 or 8

So using the link given by Colin, it states clearly that "When there is a template of the same file name in the default folder and your own folder, Sailwave uses your version."
Now this is the case I have, since I named my version of the template files to be the same as those in the default folder, so ..... why do I still have them duplicated in the Publish drop down menu when I should only see my own templates listed???

I'm using the latest version 2.8.5, Windows 7 and I've double checked the file names and they are exactly the same.
Sailwave Log book says that my 4 templates are loaded and then that 5 default templates are loaded.
Checking again, the 4 duplicates all seem to be my versions, ie 2x Results, 2x Competitor list, 2x Populated sign on/off list and 2x Sign on/off sheet and in every case the 2 versions are identical when I try them!
Any ideas?

If Jon doesn’t mind i’ll add some temporary debugging into the log book and you can feedback what it says - and maybe that’ll give us some clues. I’ll point at a .exe later in the day - this will not be an install file, just the Sailwave .exe which needs to replace the existing installed .exe.

No, "E:\Sailwave\Rating File" is where my rating file is kept.
My personal templates are kept in "E:\Sailwave\Sailwave Templates\".
However, I don't recognise this location "Loaded 4 templates from

I’m guessing you are not using the template.end() callback - it was getting to the end of the file with an error which also as a side effect added the template to the Q twice. My fault. A bug - template.end() is optional - it just speeds up template scanning when loading.
