Using PHRF TOD

Just a Knob here so be nice and use small words Please!!

I’m trying to set this up to use PHRF TOD. Have managed to get that set up with multiple classes and can almost make them print as one would think is should.

the problem I’m having is… I would like to see Finish Times - Elapse Times - Corrected Times and have it score off Corrected Times.

Currently I’m getting Elapse Time to print and that is how it’s being scored.

Thanks

E

Hi E - Sailwave will always use corrected time to score a race.

If you select publish individual race tables

You will get something like this published where you can see Elapsed and corrected times as well as the start time

When you configure a start you can tell Sailwave whether you will be recording results as place, Finish time or Elapsed time

Assuming you have selected Finish time and enter finish times then you can press F6 and select Finishes then when you publish the results, the finish times will be displayed

Hi Jon.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a way to deal with this in a Series - to be able to get the individual race to show elapse time and corrected times in the race area in the overall standings works with just showing points.

E

Hi - If you want the Series to show Corrected time and not points press F6 and select Corrected time after scoring but before you publish.

Normally you would display points for the Series and then publish as many of the individual races with the details of the races that you need.

Displaying Elapsed and Corrected times together with the Points would take up to much space for a Series as well as being rather confusing to read.

Thanks Jon

I found the Errors in my ways and have the desired results I was looking for

any ideas as how to deal with races that go past midnight??

Hi,

http://www.sailwave.com/finish-time
If a finish time is before the corresponding start time, Sailwave assumes one midnight boundary between the two.

However, if race longer than 24-hours then Sailwave start and finish times can include a date component, see http://www.sailwave.com/start-time & http://www.sailwave.com/date

Kind regards,

Huw

Hi - Sailwave will assume one midnight transition if the finish time is before the start time. Alternatively you can add dates.

Please see the Help section of the Sailwave website.

Specifically http://www.sailwave.com/start-time you might find interesting

I found that adding a date into the “Finish Time” area caused an error.

However the better solution was to use the “Elapsed Time” area for this one.

Sometime ya just gota break away from the norm and rethink things…

I really appreciate all your help

Hi,

Did you put a date in your start time? If not I would expect Sailwave to give an error.

Kind regards,

Huw
