Using wind-affected Porstmouth ratings

I have not had any response to emails last week, and it
seems to me that the current version of Sailwave does not adjust Portsmouth
numbers for wind strengths, even if correctly set up to do so. I’d love
to be proven wrong!

Mike,

I just tested it and it works for me. Sailwave 1.95 Build 12. Here's
an example. I entered 2 boats in 3 races. Boat 1 had the same
elapsed time each race. Boat 2 had the same elapsed time each race.
The two boats had different elapsed times from each other. I then
changed the wind index for each race. handicaps changed (as evidenced
by viewing corrected times for each race after scoring).

Thank
you so much! After looking at your file I realized that in my regatta file I
had erroneously entered the wind-affected ratings into the USPN box for each competitor,
rather than into the wind factors box. I have now fixed and Sailwave
works perfectly… that’s the problem with using only once a year!
