v 1.44 beta 5 uploaded with updated merge behaviour (selectable). Can now
merge in another series which has the sameish set of competitors to make a
longer (in terms of races) series. For example merge a 2 race and a 3 race
series into a 5 race series. Can then merge in more series as required.
The old behaviour is still there because it is useful also.
