v1.44 BETA

Hi,
I’d like to know how or where to edit the published headers for overall fleet results and for each race.

Currently, each race and the overall series results are publishable with “Fleet: Etchells; Sailed 3; Discards 0; Rating: None” , for example… I want to keep all but the Rating portion of the header… How would one do that?

Also, I notice that in the series overall publishable results, the column headers are displayed above the series details

(series details are listed in the first paragraph)b

so they are now disassociated with the column data.

Has anyone found a way to edit or swap the publishable

column headers in their reports ? .

Regards,
Bette

Hi Bette,

You can edit the published headers in two places:

  1. If you choose ‘Edit’ from the menu bar and then ‘Edit series properties…’ from the drop down menu, you can change the ‘Event Name’ and the ‘Venue Name’ to whatever you choose. Preview the published results to see the effect.

  2. When you choose ‘Publish’ from the menu bar, you can change the ‘Title’ field in the ‘Publish series/races’ dialogue. Again, preview the published results to see the effect.

The ‘Sailed: 3; Discards: 0;Rating: SCR’ is generated by default. I think you would need to edit the HTML file if you wanted to remove these. However, I think they give useful information.

In terms of changing the publishable columns, you can customize this via the ‘View Columns’ dialogue. You get this by choosing ‘View’ from the menu bar and then ‘Columns…’ from the down menu. Any changes to the columns viewed within Sailwave are honoured when publishing results.

You can of course achieve more customisation by editing the HTML file generated when publishing the results, but you obviously need to be comfortable with HTML coding.

Hope this helps.

There guess there is is scope for suppressing the “Rating” annotation if the rat sys is “None”…

Colin,

Do you have any plans to enhance the import facility to allow importing the results of a single race while retaining the previous races. Currently the program imports a whole series, meaning any annotations I make to the results are lost next time I upload. (to counter act this I always keep versions of the series results)

Thanks.

Colin
