Can Sailwave score the coming Olympic format yet?

All results from "the ground series" with one discard. The ten best
competitors go for the final with the results from "the ground series" and
the finals give two times the place in points. Eg. 1st is 2 points 2nd is
4... The finals can not be discarded.

All in one file???

Hi Anders,

Ralph is tracking the Melbourne results in Sailwave to see what needs to be
done; he'll make recommendations at the end of the event and I'll do them
then. In the short term the sort of thing you could do is give
non-finalists a 0 point score and set a race weighting of 2 - that sort of
thing.

I haven't tested it yet but all the pieces are in sailwave. You can mark a race non discardable, and you can weight a race.

Hi Mark,

Yes i see that almost everything is in there.

When you are done with the first 10 races, with one discard and after
scoring just edit all races and say that this rase is not dicardable (1 to
10) ---- ouh!!! Another result after rescore...

There must be a way of "locking" the results as they are at present - a
function LOCK RACE.

When you have locked race 1-10 you start with the finals... A new scoring
system must be applied for the final series, but that is in "the next face
of testing".

This is my idéa of how it should be.

Forget my last email. Ralph made an eccelent work!! Ofcourse - the finals
should be nondiscardable! I thought the other way around. To much work
maybe...
