A new version of sailwave - 1.91 - is available on the webtsite. This fixes
the problem when scoring one-design place results by field; e.g. by fleet.
If there are further problerms with this, please send a message to the SUG
together with the series as an attachment.
Other changes include tweaking the toolbar layout to model 1.57 a bit more
and some big fixes to the upgrade logic - in some cases it was not importing
the old fleet records as scoring rules.
When trying to use SailWave v1.90Build3 and v1.91, with an existing series to add additional races, I add a new race then right click to edit the race details, whilst changing the date is OK if I then try to edit the information for a start SailWave locks up and the only way to get out is to call up Task Manager and kill the process.
Task Manager shows the sailwave.exe process at 95%+ CPU utilisation. When I use Task Manager to select the Sailwave application and click ‘End Now’, the confirm action window says that Sailwave is waiting a response from you but I cannot do anything in the Sailwave windows that are open. Help please. Everything was working with v1.90Build3 but at some point before Christmas it stopped. I have applied Microsoft patches in the last month to six weeks as they have been released.
I have tried reverting to SailWave version 1.88 with the previous version of the data file and I get the same thing. Also I have tried both scenarios on other PC’s running both Windows 2000 and XP and experience the same problem.
I have just found that if I create a brand new Sailwave not based on any previous file the problem goes away! This gets around the immediate problem so I can use v1.91 but I did want to be able to create new results file based on existing one to save typing all the competitor information in again and not having to set up scoring profiles again.

A suggestion. Now we can have different scoring profiles would it be possible when publishing to print out the title of the scoring profile that is being used for that state of the results?
I have two scoring profiles; one RYA Appendix A Low Point (Modified) and one Custom High Point. I keep forgetting to go and change the Series Title to reflect the scoring profile being printed. Additionally would it be possible to print the points allocated to the scoring codes and the custom scoring formula if used. I know you have in your development list enhanced publishing capabilities.

Other changes include tweaking the toolbar layout to model 1.57 a bit more
and some big fixes to the upgrade logic - in some cases it was not importing
the old fleet records as scoring rules.
Just created a series in which there are four fleets (Asymmetrics, Catamaran Handicap, Fast Handicap and Lasers); 3 of these are using PY rating but the Catamaran Handicap is using SCR. However when you enter new boats and publish the results what shows in the rating column is not the rating value but the rating code. Would it be possible to change this so that the rating code and the rating value shows in the rating column? Have I missed something in the latest version somewhere
I can get the rating value to show but only by overtyping manually the entry on each competitor record.

Follow-up to my previous message. I have just been into and out of the the scoring systems and done nothing but press the ‘Cancel’ button and magically all the rating values appeared.
I will keep a watch on what is happening and try to provided updated feedback.

The rating values like 'py' etc seem real - i.e. "py" is actually in the
rating field for a competitor. How did you get the competitor data into the
series - was it by importing from a CSV file, if so could it be that you
mapped the wrong CSV field into the rating field...
The value would change if you ticked the field in the scpromng systme to
always auto update from rating file.
