version 2.4.1 available

I'm expecting some problems with this. I intend to fix as fast as

possible over the weekend. All bug reports appreciated. I’ve done
what I usually do but that means little with different windows O/S
and Mac/Linux etc.

Hi Colin,

Just been testing Sailwave b2.4.1 under Linux (Ubuntu 11.10 with the

latest Wine [v1.3.35) updates from the Ubuntu repositories) and it
works so far with no bugs. Tested using a Sailwave file from the 470
Europeans held in July this year in Helsinki; the event had Q &
F-series plus medal race for top 10 and also a race for the
non-medalists.

Kind regards,
Huw

Whoops should be Ubuntu 11.04 - screen capture included

Thanks Huw, appreciated. Is there any trickery
needed with fonts these days or was that an older Lunix and/or
Wine thing.

Hi Colin,

Will have to go back to basics and do a clean install as I can't

remember what I have or have not done with this virtual machine
instance of Ubuntu.

I have an Ubuntu 11.10 installation DVD sitting on my desk, so over

the Christmas / New Year period I will go through everything from a
clean install documenting everything as I go. I will try with
several distributions of Linux starting with openSUSE and
Mint/Ubuntu as they are my personal preferences, but have access to
DVD’s for fedora 16, CentOS and a few others.

Kind regards,

I just downloaded 2.4.1.

When I first open it up it tells me that it may take a few seconds to connect to the Internet. Why? Why do I need to be connected to the internet?

Then I get a prompt telling me that I am using 2.4.1 and that I ought to download 2.02 build 6. This, surely is an earlier version?

When I try to open ‘a series that has been opened recently’ it lists a lot of old series that haven’t been opened for ages.

None of this matters much, but it sows the seeds of doubt even before I start doing anything,

Hi George

It sounds like you have the option enabled to check for new

versions on start up - Setup+GlobalOptions - Upgrades tab.

I've sorted the 2.02b6 thing - the latest upgrade was not updated

on the web.

Not sure about the recently thing - if they are the most recent

files opened even if that means its been some time I would expect
them to be included. it shows the last N files opened - there is
no concept of time. “Recently” is not accurate in that respect I
suppose but that’s the common use.

Hi George

In the scoring ststem these is a tab for codes. You can set up

DNC to be 0 in there. If you click the hand icon (‘give me a
hand’) there is an option to setup the codes for common highpoint
use. You can then review.

Re: [sailwave] Re: version 2.4.1
available

              Hi

Christof

The uploaded file seems OK. I've installed it more

than once as have others. Do you have another machine
you can test it on?

Cheers,
Colin J

Hello,
can not install version 2.4.1!
Downloaded sw2_4_1.exe twice. On installing I get a error message
