Why Nett?

Hi Folks

I think that Nett comes from the French Nettoyer, to clean, ie the score is cleaned of any unwanted points, as in a product’s net weight is the product without the weight of the packaging. Some people spell it with one t but I have no idea why - laziness perhaps.

Fiona

Thanks; interesting…
