why wasn't the tie broken

Yesterday I scored a regatta that consisted of 2 races. one competitor placed 1-3 the other competitor 3-1 so both had 4 points Apendix A8.2 prescribes the tie breaker to go to the highest score in the last race but Sailwave left the series total tied. What am I doing wrong?

A8.2 If a tie remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in
order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken
by using the tied boats' scores in the next-to-last race and so on
until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of

is 8.2 enabled in
the scoring system used?

    attach your .blw file and it's easier to diagnose.

Colin,
I tried de-selecting 8.1 8.2 and both but it made no difference. I did not see a option to attach a file to my reply so i uploaded "2012 MNM Labor Day" to the file section.

Arjan,
Under "score series" I see that you're scoring all competitors as one group but the sorting field chosen is "boat" and because all your boats have different names they are ALL shown as 1st.
If you change the field to "Fleet" and rescore then all will be resolved!

That makes a lot of sense. I have been getting used to scoring this way and then sorting by points but this is obviously the way to do it.
