Windows 7 Oddity

Hi everyone,

A Sailwave user I know rang me last night as he had a Windows 7

laptop on which Sailwave had suddenly stopped working. I suggested
several things for him to try, including a reinstall. Anyway after a
couple of hours he sent me the following email message:-

*Hi Huw

It was good to talk to you and many thanks

for the suggestions.

The first time I tried uninstalling Windows

suggested that the software was not installed, but I continued
and reinstalled Sailwave, all to no avail. retried an
uninstall and re-install and still I could not get the drop
down menus using the wireless mouse, but then found that the
touch pad mouse did work. Moved the mouse and came back to
the menu and again it did not work. I happened to double
click on the title bar, which then created a resieable window
and now the drop downs work with the wireless and touch pad
mouse.

I then re-maximised the window and it still

works. All very odd and not consistent.

I will do what I wanted to and then try

again tomorrow to see if the problem is still there.*
Just putting into SUG in case it helps anyone else.

Kind regards,

Huw

Can anyone advise on how to download and run Sailwave on a Mac? I have tried and failed miserably! Steve

I had the same problem last September,

"

I have just treated myself to a new laptop, with Windows 7. Having downloaded 2.02 bld6, which I have been using on the old pc (Vista ) I find the menus are not available. (File, View, Edit etc ) when using the mouse. I can get to them with Alt F etc.
Am I missing something?

The problem just went away, but how/why I don't know. I assumed no-one else had the same problem as I didn't get any replies, other than one from Colin.

I had this problem a while back on the club’s computer, the menus appear to drop down if I am logged in as administrator, but I needed to use Alt + if logged in as a user!

Margaret
