I am currently looking at our club IT. Can you advise on the following:
Is Windows 8 fully supported?
Is Windows Surface Tablet Supported?
Is there an Android version of SW planned?
Is there and iOS (iphone or ipad) version of SW planned?

Welcome to the Sailwave User Group,
Sailwave is a Windows desktop application
An important fact is that it is totally self contained and doesn’t require any runtimes or other licenses to be purchased such as Excel.
Yes Sailwave runs on Windows 8, Windows 7 32 and 64 bit, Windows Vista and XP
It also runs on Linux using Wine and on the Mac using various solutions details are in other threads on this forum
I have never tried it on Microsoft surface, But there are two versions of Surface. Surface Pro and Surface RT, Surface RT uses an Arm processor so it will not run on that.
Generally this type of app with its database and large amounts of data manipulation are not the best type of apps for mobile applications. However all of its output is html which can be read and consumed on Android and iOS devices. I’m also working on remote collection/ input of results using Android and iOS and Windows Phone. Although the current priority is to support the new RYA cruiser handicap system.
I see the club currently uses Sailwave and hope they find the new version 2.8.4 has some useful additions for them. And there is more on the way!
