Our yacht club has used Sailwave sucessfully for a number of years
until now. I have recently downloaded the latest version. There
appears to be an incompatability issue arising between the version of
Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and SW that gives me an application error
message. The result is that Sailwave will not operate at all. The
application error message is "application failed to initialise
properly 0xc150002". Is there someone that can assist me. I imagine
there are other SW installations that are the same as Kohimarama Yacht
Club's in Auckland. Thks, Phil
Phil,
A few messages ago someone else reported a problem with SW 2b2
and Colin’s suggestion was to try 2b1 available then at http://www.sailwave.com/binary/sw200b1.exe
When they tried SW2b1 their problem went away. Colin is
investigating the problem with SWb2, which includes a new facility that will be
expanded on to allow the users of Sailwave to get more access & control of
the output of information from the data held in Sailwave.
Kind regards,
Huw

I don’t think its a generic problem with SW (V2R2) - I’m running it on my PC (XP home, SP3) - possibly some config problem on yours?
An item from a google search for that error code says:
"You might want to try (re-)installing the runtime components of Visual C++
Libraries (required to run applications developed with Visual C++, such as
Nmap, on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2005 installed). You can
grab the x86 version from:
[http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-](http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-)984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en
If that doesn’t work, a similar error message is listed at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822520/en-us that suggests reinstalling the
service pack, so it’s a bit of a long shot, but you may want to try
reinstalling SP2 or (probably easier) consider installing SP3 if you’re
running the x86 version. "

I’ll make sure the necessary runtime stuff is
included in the next build. Sorry about that
