Other than a "carried forward points" field in the competitor records that
can optionally be included in series scores, what else did you discover
would be useful after the Youth Nats. I cant remember anything else.

Mike, Yes, the idea was to be able to point at another series and import either the net/total or positions as carried fwd points. Q/F that really are busted up into two mini events with separate discard profiles etc are easier managed as two series I’ve found. Unlike Add C which floats the discards across Q/F at all times.

There are two things I picked up at the Youth Nats. I will write my notes more lucidly (hopefully) and post later today.
As you have already remembered Carried forward points is one, but I have some comments.
The other is about competitors being given non-discardable points for infractions that are not related to race points, e.g. not Tallying properly, not flying National Flag.

Can you just clarify/confirm that some of the race penalties were added to the ‘normal’ score rather then replaced it - i.e. boat comes 5th place - get 5 points - then maybe another 5 points for some penalty - giving a total of 10…?
NB: One other thing I remember is that when pubishing the number of sailed races included your dummy races which confused the parents.

As far as I can interpret from the RS:X SI, some penalty points would be recorded per race and added to the final punts score and others would be added to the specific race score. Note though that I see a conflict in these SI.
My suggestion is first to provide an option to record one or more penalty infringements against a competitor and the facility to hold carried forward points, i.e. from a Qualifying Series to a Final Series. Also it would be brilliant if you could provide a mechanism to populate the field hold carried forward points automatically with a prompted option ranking position, net points or total points

Huw, sounds good Having been involved in some of thes Q/F events that do not confirm to Add C in that they really are two separate series I think they are also best modelled by two separate series as well. I intend to streamline the Add C stuff in Sailwave so its very easy to use but advise in the help on using two separate series otherwise. There is great simplicitly in Add C - its still just one series with multiples 1sts etc floating around - the bit at the end about scoring separately is a little confusing (does it mean rerank the Q places or leave them as they are) but in concept it’s a simple solution.
