The Highlightwins3 effect only highlights the number of races in the first fleet. If the first fleet has sailed 8 races and the second fleet has sailed 9 races, then only the first 8 races are highlighted in the 9 race series. If you switch the order you publish the classes so the class that sailed the most races is first everything seems to work.

Highlightwins3 is only there for compatibility with older results. You should always now use Highlightwins3v3 .
The difference is that WINS3 actually looks for 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, so it doesn’t work if you get equal firsts or equal seconds, etc. Highlightwins3v3 uses their true ranking, so it will also work if you are using high-point scoring

Hi Jon,
I found that in a Q/Fseries and when you use the"FlightsImage" effect, I had to use both Highlightwins3v3 and Highlightwins3. Without using Highlightwins3, the Q series 1,2 &3 positions won’t be HighLighted. The ILCA 7 Worlds results shows this: https://www.sailwave.com/results/2026_ILCA_Men_Worlds.htm
I think that the FlightsImage effect is one of the best effects.

The issue is HighlightWins3v3 works for the qualifiers when you are scoring the qualifiers but when you are scoring the finals you usually have the box ticked to not recalculate the qualifiers and as HighlightWins3v3 uses the rankings they are not present. The problem with HighlightWins3 is it doesn’t use rankings to crudely use 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 so if there are any draws when points will 1.5 or 2.5 then it doesn’t work. Will have a think about it but as it’s not calculating those races in this session there are no rankings for the qualifiers when it publishes
