Yes. We scored
the 2003 US
Masters at Alamitos Bay YC using Sailwave, it worked
extremely well, and was easily understood by the competitors. I have attached the html file containing the results.
We had a ten race series with two
discards.
We added
an eleventh race to Sailwave, to enable us to add the age handicap to each competitor’s
score. This race could not be discarded.
We then setup scoring codes as follows.
APP (Apprentice) 3 point per race, total 24
points
MST (Master) 2 point per race, total 16
Points
GM (Grand Master) 1 point per race, total 8
points
GGM (Great Grand Master) 0 point per race
NOTE - You need
to keep changing the points associated
with each scoring code as they are related
to the number of races that have been sailed.
A bit of a pain but otherwise it all works well.
From the 2003 regatta the first three
places were as follows
2 1 2 (6) 2 1 1 (9) 6 2 APP-24 = 41 points
1 6 (10) 4 (9) 5 3 1 1 1 APP-24 = 46
points
3 3 4 (9) (7) 2 5 6 4 6 MST-16 = 49 points
Hope that helps.
You might be able to score it differently in
the latest sailwave version, but I have not had the time to experiment.

Subject: [sailwave] Scored a regatta with age factor?
To All
Has anyone scored a regatta where it
was a group of lasers and
additional points are added based upon their age. For example an
individual who is 35 - 44 get 3 extra points , 45 - 54 get 2 points
and 55 - 64 get 1 point and any older than 65 get no additional points.
One start for all individuals.
any suggestions? if one could post a file even better.
thanks
Robert
